Rafael Nadal - US Open Tennis 2012

US Open Rafael NadalSpaniard Rafael Nadal is the World No.1 player having regained his top form in 2010, he has proven himself to be an awesome competitor and he will be tough to beat in New York. He has already picked up both the French Open and Wimbledon this year and he will be going all out for the one title to elude him so far in his illustrious career.

Nadal is the King of Clay having won the French Open five times including four consecutively with 2009 the only exception when he was knocked out by the Swede Robin Soderling in the 4th Round, which was his first ever loss in the French Open. Following that result Nadal spent some time on the sidelines with a knee injury which meant he missed defending his crown at Wimbledon and consequently lost the No.1 spot to Federer who went onto win the tournament. There were soem that felt that Nadal would never be the same player again but he has proven in 2010 that he is quite simply one of the worlds great athletes.

Nadal is clearly a phenomenon, he is still only 24 years old and is an ultra competitive player that never knows when he is beaten. He is the only teenager, other than Boris Becker and Bjorn Borg, to have been ranked number two player in the world. He should be checked out in the Rafa Nadal 2012 US Open Odds.

Nadal is yet to win the US Open with his best run coming in 2008 when he lost out to Andy Murray in the Semi-Finals and he will want to improve on that in 2010. Nadal has not looked at his very best in the recent hard court tournaments but he is improving and few would be surprised to see him go along way in the 2012 US Open at Flushing Meadow.
